Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy
- Cancellation and Rescheduling Notice
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Requests received less than 24 hours before the appointment are considered late cancellations.
- Significant lateness may limit the consultation time and/or be treated as a missed appointment, at the Clinic’s discretion.
- Late Cancellation, Significant Lateness & No-Show Fees
- Late cancellation (less than 24 hours’ notice): a $50 fee applies.
- Failure to attend the appointment (no-show): a $50 fee applies.
- Significant lateness: a $50 fee may apply when the appointment cannot be honoured or must be significantly shortened.
- Application of Fees and Link with the Deposit Policy
- The $50 deposit is linked to each appointment and may be retained as an administrative fee in the situations above:
- If the consultation takes place, the deposit is applied as a deduction from the consultation fee.
- If the deposit is retained, a new $50 deposit will be required to confirm a future appointment.
- The Clinic may require any applicable fees to be paid before confirming a new appointment.
- Exceptions may be considered at the Clinic’s discretion, in exceptional circumstances:
- medical emergency or hospitalization;
- death in the immediate family.
Supporting documentation may be requested.
- The $50 deposit is linked to each appointment and may be retained as an administrative fee in the situations above:
- Acceptance of the Policy
By booking or maintaining an appointment at CYMED Medical Clinic / Centre de Santé du Collège Canada, the patient acknowledges that they:- have been informed of the present Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy;
- understand that a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment;
- accept that a $50 fee may apply in the event of a late cancellation, significant lateness, or missed appointment, in accordance with the policies in effect.
