Mitra Tehranifar: A Versatile Physician Dedicated to Comprehensive and Women’s Health
Dr. Mitra Tehranifar has an impressive medical background, marked by academic excellence and an extraordinarily diverse range of clinical experiences. Originally from Iran, she began her journey with seven years of rigorous study at a prestigious university in Tehran to earn her medical degree. She then completed a four-year specialized residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
Driven by a constant desire for improvement and continuous learning, Dr. Tehranifar traveled to the United States to complete a two-year subspecialty fellowship, also in obstetrics and gynecology. To broaden her clinical approach, she followed this with an additional three years of specialization in family medicine in the US, thereby forging a comprehensive medical expertise.
Her career path then led her to Quebec, where she dedicated 16 years of her career to the Kahnawake Hospital. This experience in a hospital and community setting allowed her to work in multiple specialized fields: from women’s health and pediatrics to long-term care geriatrics and short-term support unit interventions.
Today, within the CYMED team, Dr. Tehranifar offers comprehensive medical care. She goes beyond walk-in consultations by actively taking on patients, serving as their dedicated family doctor. While she maintains a strong focus on women’s health—notably offering hormone therapy for perimenopause—her practice is fully inclusive. She provides consultations to patients of all genders and ages, regardless of their medical history. Her warm approach, immense clinical background, and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable member of our medical team.
